Cover Analysis - Strange Days

Jim morrison refused to appear on the cover of the 'Strange Days' they wanted to go in the opposite direction. The original sleeve was going to be a shot of the bands image reflected n a mirror charriedby a group of dwarves, but in the end a mock-up of  troupe of circus performers were shot in New York. In the photo which wraps around onto the back sleeve has only the acrobats as real circus performers, with others in the group including friends, actors hired from agencies and even a taxi driver. In order to get past the fact that 'The Doors' were not appearing on the sleeve a poster from their debut album was placed upon the wall behind the strongman ensuring people knew who had made the album. Otherwise there was no other direct reference or naming of the band on the exterior.
I like the idea of using one continual image stretched along the front and back cover and I think I will incorporate this into my finished product.
